The Trade Auditor reports to the Territory Manager and will be responsible for assisting the company in achieving its goals and objectives by providing trade audits and statistical information based on audit findings.

The Retail Trade consists of approximately 50 CORE brands which need to consistently be monitored and reviewed with recommendations for amendments.

1. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Auditing data in customers assigned by the Commercial team - checking and recording prices in the trade for CPJ-owned brands as well as those of main competitors.
  • Liaise with the merchandising team on price anomalies, merchandising standards, and shelf planograms.
  • Reporting on price anomalies and ensuring prices strategies are maintained in accordance with the brand strategies.
  • Providing data on new products introduced in the trade.
  • Collating pictures and submitting reports of approved merchandising strategies for key brands
  •  Developing and reviewing of planograms and ensuring adherence
  • Management and weekly updates of the Competitive Analysis file on the shared drive
  • Providing monthly reports on key findings to the Commercial team
  • Collecting prices from the CPJ Market to ensure prices are not lower than the retail trade.
  • Monthly presentations on the price audits
  • Any other duties as requested by the Commercial team.

 1.1 General Responsibilities:

  • To implement any activity, process or strategy that will improve the competitive advantage of the company, in consultation with the Territory Manager and Merchandising Supervisor.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the good name and reputation of Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd. in general through the demonstration and practice of the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Audit data against existing trade audit sheets by using all assigned customers.
  • Monitor merchandising standards and further adherence to shelf planograms.
  • Monitor and ensure all pricing policies are accurate.
  • To abide by the disciplinary code of the company.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work flexible hours as the needs of the service dictate, including out-of-normal hours as required. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Should possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  •  High proficiency in Microsoft Office- (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Presentation skills should include modern presentation methods.
  • An understanding of the principles of good customer service.
  • Must prioritize in a fast – paced multi- task environment.
  • Trustworthy, dependable, and reputable.
  • Detail oriented with a creative flair.
  • Must own a reliable motor vehicle.

3. Education & Experience:

  • Degree preferred in Marketing and Sales
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail trade
