Operator/Technician – Novelty/Ice Cream Line

Vacancy: Operator/Technician – Novelty/Ice Cream Line
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the temperature and concentration of the Brine and Defrost Systems, Freezing Machine as well as Carousel speed to ensure consistency
- Monitor the effective sealing of the Wrapper to ensure that novelties are produced as per required standards
- Verify mix by carefully examining batch codes and removing mix from Mix Plant to Flavouring Tank
- Ensure that machines are cleaned and sterile as per required standards
- Assist with examining the Production Schedule to determine the quantity and flavor to be manufactured each day
- Operate, troubleshoot, and do preventative and ongoing maintenance of machines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate Degreee or equivalent qualification
- NCTVET/HEART Certification (Mechanical or Engineering)
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience within a manufacturing environment
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Ability to:
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshoot equipment failure
- Take initiative and think quickly
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
