Stockers (Dairy/Frozen, Grocery, Warehouse)

Job Summary: To stock merchandise on shelves and displays throughout the department in a careful, clean, neat and expedient manner, and ensure that all products are fresh, rotated, and well stocked for our customers according to established company policies and guidelines.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Verifies that merchandise receiving, count, quality and condition follow company’s stock in-take procedures.
• Place merchandise on shelves, ends of aisles, cases, racks and other locations as directed by supervisor or manager
• Unpack shipments and compare quantities and type of product with invoice or shipment paperwork
• Report any defects in products, such as breaks, leaks and tears in containers, deficiencies in quantities, or incorrectly shipped products.
• Place price information next to products or on shelves or racks where products are displayed.
• Organize and clean stockroom.
• Assist customers with retrieving certain items and guide them to particular products when requested.
• Keep store floors including aisles, clean and free of obstructions or other hazards.
• Answer customer questions about availability and location of merchandise.
• Required to work nights, long hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to lift product boxes and equipment 60 lbs. or more.

 General Requirements

• Friendly attitude
• Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Ability to work on weekends and Holidays
• Physical mobility and ability to operate work equipment
• Retail and customer services experience preferred
• Must have a clean Police Record

 Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Good Mathematical Skills
• Good Command of English Language both oral and written
• Basic Knowledge of Computers

 Compensation

Wage Range Per Hour: US$9.50 – US$12.50
