Deli Clerk

Job Summary: This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and serving various food products as well as providing customers with a high level of customer satisfaction with a goal of each customer getting exactly what they want in a very friendly and efficient manner.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the deli counter by listening to their order requests and preparing food items such as pizzas, sandwiches and subs using established recipes and products
• Slice, cut weigh and label products with appropriate dates and prices
• Manage product maintenance and rotation to avoid damages or spoilage
• Stock and organize deli display and showcases as per merchandizing standards
• Clean and sanitize work areas and maintain tools and equipment
• Observe food safety and hygiene procedures according to company policy
• Transport products to preparation or storage areas when needed
• Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience

 General Requirements

• Friendly attitude
• Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Ability to work on weekends and Holidays
• Physical mobility and ability to operate work equipment
• Retail and customer services experience preferred
• Must have a clean Police Record

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Good Mathematical Skills
• Good Command of English Language both oral and written
• Basic Knowledge of Computers

Compensation

Wage Range Per Hour: US$9.50 – US$12.50
