Warehouse Supervisor Temporary (6 months)

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, the Warehouse supervisor is responsible for the effective management of the warehouse team and daily inventory movements of goods, coordination of people and equipment.

Major Responsibilities

• Quarterly staff reviews
• Monthly self-check process audit for warehouse (WCS)
• Weekly personnel rostering for warehouse
• Daily inventory count
• Daily inventory reconciliation (by shift where applicable)
• Daily safety inspection
• Daily system review
• Daily postings of (Receipts, Agency transfers, Debit notes, sales offices, Blocking)
• Oversees the daily loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in accordance to CBL warehousing process
• Directly supervises warehouse staff (Checkers, associates, gardeners)
• Maintains non-structural assets (Truck washing, warehouse cleaning, yard & office maintenance etc.)
• Conforms to and enforces Warehouse best practices HACCP
• Complies with World Class Sales (WCS)
• Protects the integrity of all personnel & products in the warehouse
• Adheres to all company policies and safety requirement for the role as prescribed by the business
• Any other responsibilities as required by the business

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehousing and distribution supervision
• Certificates, Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of SAP an advantage

Working Condition: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.)

• Predominantly 6AM – 2PM and 10PM – 6AM shifts; may be required to work outside the set work hours
• Will be exposed to a Distribution Center & Warehouse environment, at an occasional frequency
• Frequent to moderate walking short/long distances within the Distribution Center, Office and Warehouse areas
• Frequent traveling requirements, CBL Head Office and Distribution Center
• Occasional exposure to forklifts & delivery trucks within the Warehouse area
• Wearing of appropriate PPE gear required for normal daily function
