The Communication Officer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders.

RELIEF COMMUNICATION OFFICER

Position Objective

The Communication Officer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies aimed at fostering internal communication and creating strong, positive relationships with the media  to increase positive awareness of Bishop Anstey High School East & Trinity College East (BATCE).

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
2. Proficient in the use of MS 365 Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams
3. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, including Desktop Publishing, Web page management and Multimedia/Social Media
4. A portfolio of past projects and activities is required
5. Basic Certificate in Graphic Design will be an asset
6. Basic Certificate in Event Management/ Project Management will be an asset
7. Experience and / or training in the area of public relations, research or corporate publications will be an asset.

4. Working knowledge of Web page management
5. Working knowledge of Multimedia / Social Media- Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
6. Working knowledge of video editing and graphic software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva
