Attorney-at-Law

To provide legal services including but not limited to research, advice and drafting of various legal documents dealing with the transfer of property and securities.

A reputable and well established firm of attorneys with its main office in Port-of-Spain and a branch office in Chaguanas requires an experienced Attorney-at-Law to join its Real Estate Practice Group.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be required to provide legal services including but not limited to research, advice and drafting of various legal documents dealing with the transfer of property and securities. He/She must be a team player and must possess strong problem-solving skills, initiative, good judgment and be able to handle significant volumes of work in a timely manner.  He/She must be able to work alongside the Partners in the Firm’s client development and retention programme. Good managerial skills and some management experience will be a valuable asset.

Education and Experience

Must be admitted to practice in this jurisdiction and possess a minimum of three years’ experience in the law and practice of conveyancing.

Must have a sound knowledge of the law of real property and some experience in drafting conveyancing documents.
