Job Summary 

 

The Manager Finance/Accountant TTIT reports directly to the Executive Manager Finance and Administration. The incumbent will be responsible for directing and overseeing all the financial functions of the TTIT Business Unit including the planning and implementation of business strategies to facilitate achievement of the objectives of the Ferry Service Business Plan.

 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Ensures the reliability and accuracy of the financial information generated within the TTIT Strategic Business Unit.
  • Ensures that internal controls and procedures are adhered to in the conduct of business by TTIT.
  • Prepares the annual budget and management of variances.
  • Approves expenditure in adherence with the policies and procedures of the PATT.
  • Ensures compliance with the Port Authority’s Procurement and Tendering policies and procedures as it related to TTIT.
  • Ensures that accountability and fiscal prudence is maintained in the procurement of goods and services.
  • Manages the use and application of subventions received from Government for the operations and various projects related to the TTIT business unit.
  • Manages supplier relationships with respect to invoice recognition and settlement of invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that all collections related to TTIT services are collected and secured in a timely manner for the benefit of TTIT.
  • Ensures that the Accounts Receivable and Bad Debt Policy is enforced and observed as it relates to TTIT.
  • Prepares supporting schedules representative of the SBU’s financial performance and positions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Manager Finance & Administration.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Qualification/ Experience and Training:

 

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA/CMA/CIMA) or any related qualification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in financial accounting with at least three (3) years at the supervisory level.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong managerial, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
