What will you do:

• Actively supports and promotes the behavioural safety process and all the site’s SHE goals.
• Defines the priorities, commitments, and expectations of operations.
• Promotes operational discipline within team to ensure strict adherence to critical operations procedures
• Supports and drives the creation of a safety culture based on hearts and minds within the Operations team
• Leads, participates, and facilitates the departmental safety and environmental efforts, programs, and regulatory compliance ensuring employee understanding of these areas. 
• Ensures, supports, and drives continuous improvement with Process Safety Management (PSM) such as MOC’s, PSSR’s, PHA’s, Procedure reviews, emergency response, etc.

• Develops and regularly reviews the operations budget versus plan and ensure appropriate reporting of the results, as well as identifying issues that could impact goal attainment.
• Interfaces regularly with local and corporate stakeholders (Sales, T&D, etc) to communicate production forecasts, shipment requirements, and customer complaints.
• Drives reliability improvements of the process units, product quality, and the on-time shipment of products. 
• Prioritizes maintenance efforts when required to address substandard conditions and ensures the proper coordination of maintenance repair activities including turnarounds and opportunities outages.
• Oversees hiring, performance management, development, and motivation of all Operations employees.
• Facilitates collaborative efforts with the Engineering and Maintenance departmental activities for projects, Bad actor, root cause analysis and loss tons program process optimizations, and capital improvement projects.  Key contributor for capital budget development.
• Ensures the ongoing training and development of the Shift Supervisors and Operating Technicians, in addition to the departments Operator Certification Program.

What will you bring:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
• 10 plus years' experience in Operations or related areas of manufacturing and/or similar industry.
• Minimum 5 years in supervision.
