Training Coordinator

The Training Coordinator will assist in the designing and implementing policies and procedures to manage the recruitment, compliance, benefit administration and development of employees throughout the Company. Additionally, the HRG will facilitate the implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with company objectives.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Development Responsibilities

  • Assist managers in defining training and development needs for their team members
  • Identify training programs for the development of hard and soft skills and coordinate team member enrollment and attendance
  • Assist managers to facilitate employee compliance with training requirements within specified time lines
  • Develop training material and presentations and deliver effective training sessions as required.
  • Measure compliance and report on the status of each department.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
  • Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
 

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Teaching, or similar field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in the design, delivery and evaluation of training in support of organisations and individuals
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience supervising a workforce.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial skills to support the positioning of the organisation and the further development of existing and new lines of work.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi task and work to deadlines.
  • Proven strengths in facilitating collaboration and collaborative ways of working both as part of an internal team and with external stakeholders/partners. Experience in leading and supervising team members and contractors
  • A team player with a business focused and customer-oriented approach
  • Quality focus and commitment to high quality standards
  • Excellent analytical and decision making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborating and supportive mindset
  • Use of information, communication and technology, proficient in computer software applications including MS Office and Google Suite.
