Procurement Officer

To support the on-time delivery of contract services and or works in accordance with contract terms and conditions and in compliance with the requirements of Public Procurement Act and Company policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Carries out and coordinates timely sourcing events including EOI’s, RFQs, ITP, ITBs for Company services and or works.
• Supports due diligence in the Pre-Qualification of suppliers and Researches and provides recommendation of candidates for strategic agreements
• Conducts negotiations with suppliers to obtain service agreements of benefit to the Company
• Follows up with customers to minimize the negotiation timeframe
• Drafts, reviews and sends contracts/responses, as well as negotiates and renegotiates agreements in close liaison with all key stakeholders to ensure that all contracts accurately reflect the terms agreed and are fit for purpose
• Coordinates timely and efficient delivery of Purchase orders and financial contract documents eg SES (service entry sheets), etc;
• Verifies service provider invoices for processing of payments
• Identifies and resolves contract of services discrepancies
• Provides status updates and follow-up
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose
• Ensures compliance with the procurement and tendering process for contract services and or works
• Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures
• Works with a view to continuously improve the Procurement process in areas of influence for more timely, efficient, and transparent delivery of value for money.
• Participates in the review, evaluation, and amendment of policies and procedures related to procurement of services
• Monitors and maintains Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) compliance

 Qualifications:

• Graduate Degree in related field and Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Graduate Diploma or equivalent

 Experience:

• A minimum of Five (5) years experience in Project (works) and / or services procurement in an oil and gas environment.
• Experience in Goods (materials) procurement would be considered an asset.
