Summary

Responsible for managing financial transactions and providing exceptional customer service in a shipping setting. You will handle payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of transactions. Your role will involve working closely with customers, freight carriers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Process Payments - Receive payments from customers for freight and shipping services. Verify the accuracy of payment details.
• Issue Receipts - Generate and provide receipts to customers for their payments. Ensure that all necessary information is accurately recorded on the receipts.
• Maintain Financial Records - Keep records of all transactions, including payments, refunds, and adjustments. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of these records for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Customer Service - Assist customers by providing information about charges, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns or complaints. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while dealing with customers, aiming to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Collaborate with Team Members - Work closely with other team members, to ensure efficient coordination and timely completion of transactions. Communicate effectively to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
• Compliance - Adhere to financial and operational policies, procedures, and regulations. Follow all relevant legal requirements, such as data protection and privacy laws, while handling customer information and financial data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 CXC/CSEC/GCE subjects including Principles of Accounts
• Proficient computer skills
• Minimum of two years working experience
• Strong numerical and basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
