Provides full support in producing draft financial results (Published Accounts) for all reporting requirements, to satisfy the needs of all internal and external stakeholders, regarding the Income Statement, Balance sheet and Cash Flow statement.

SENIORITY LEVEL: Professional

FUNCTION: Commercial - Finance Department 

LOCATION: Trinidad & Tobago (Champs Fleurs)

TERM: PERMANENT (FULL-TIME)

ROLE SUMMARY

Principal Accountabilities include:

1. Produces draft monthly and quarterly Financial Statements (Balance sheet, Income Statement and Cash flow statement), along with Audit Committee and Board reports.
2. Produces draft half-year and year-end published Financial Statements (Balance sheet, Income Statement and Cash flow statement), external reporting, including notes to the financials, in line with all BAT reporting, International accounting, statutory, stock exchange and audit requirements (internal and external).
3. Assist in the monitoring and analysis of all variances in the balance sheet (including working capital) and cash flow statement.
4. Has direct responsibility for the custody of the Chart of Accounts and coordinator between the needs of the organization and the maintenance of the Chart / General Ledger.
5. Ensure compliance to BAT’s dividend policy in forecasting, payment, completion, and submission of all relevant forms / documents.
6. Management of calculation and the execution of all Statutory payments (Excise, VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE, HS, NIS and Withholding Tax).
7. Prepares draft tax computation and returns (monthly, annually and for Company Plan) to achieve tax efficiency in accordance with the tax laws. 
8. Assist in the review of pension investment activities to ensure the managers of the fund are maximizing the use of our resources. Preparation of the semi-annual return.
9. Provides the Planning team with the relevant inputs into monthly, quarterly and company Plan revisions.
10. Confirm pricing updates in SAP with Master Data within 24 hours of memo to contract markets and distributors with evidence of approval by Finance Manager.
11. Timely completion and submission of all statistical surveys as required by Central Bank and other Governmental Institutions.
12. Assist in the coordination of any External / Statutory or Internal audit activities, as required.

May be required to perform additional duties, and assist in special projects of a similar nature, from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• University degree in a related field and / or completed foundation and intermediate stages in ACCA (completed Level II) or CIMA (completed Level III)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a FMCG organization.
• Sound understanding of management/financial accounting.
• Advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
• Ability to prioritize and plan.  
• Keen attention to details.
