Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, pre-operational checks and repairs in order to maintain a safe and efficient Plant.

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out schedule preventative maintenance task, preoperational checks and repairs not limiting to the area assigned in order to maintain a safe and efficient Plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of maintenance-related repairs and services (refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, welding and plumbing)
• Complete Daily Pre-operational checks.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
• Monitor and maintain all Plant systems as assigned
• Responsible for alerting Maintenance Supervisor on duty of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur
• Ensure safety standards which comply with all company guidelines are adhered to
• Ensure Continued SAFETY of one’s self, fellow employees, customers and Equipment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience in a related field
• Post-secondary education and/or a Technical Trade Certificate/Diploma in the electrical, mechanical, welding or  plumbing fields
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Knowledge of local workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent time management and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
