We invite applications for the following position:

 

ONCOLOGIST/HEMATOLOGIST

Salary range: CI$133,128 – CI$158,256 per annum

Additional Physician Allowance: CI$6,018 to CI$39,678 per annum

 

The Oncologist Hematologist will provide general oncology service for the Health Service Authority.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide oncology outpatient services and inpatient consultations, be on call in rotation with the internal medicine and hematology team and provide technical support to improving Chemotherapy services in Health Services Authority.  The candidate will provide 24-hour oncology coverage for the Health Services Authority and provide oncology assistance for visiting specialists when necessary.  The successful candidate will develop evidence-based guidelines and care pathways with the support of other colleagues and take part in continuing professional development, clinical audit, and quality monitoring.  Liaise with other statutory and non-statutory agencies to develop health promotion and disease prevention strategies and provide technical support to strengthen laboratory and blood services nationally as well as other duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate must be able to register as a Medical Doctor within one of the qualifying jurisdictions and be able to obtain registration as a Specialist in the Cayman Islands.  Have at least 7 years postgraduate experience in the specialty relevant to the service provided and an appropriate postgraduate qualification (e.g. FRCS, MD, Board Certification or equivalent).  Knowledge of both haematology and oncology is an asset.

 

 

A remuneration and benefit package, commensurate with experience and qualifications
