The Warehouse Supervisor is ultimately responsible for the effective and efficient execution of all activities in the warehouse utilizing finished goods and/or raw materials. The incumbent is responsible for the Inventory employees and warehouse- for the safety and security of all materials stored in the warehouse and for the effective and efficient movement of materials as directed.

Job Details

Level: Supervisor

Location: Lifetime Roofing Head Office, 26 C&F O’Meara Industrial Estate, Arima

Time: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 12pm

*Supervisors are required to go “above and beyond” to ensure that the responsibilities of their departments are fulfilled, therefore managers are expected to operate outside of these hours when required.

Supervision: 8 person Head Count

Reports to: Materials Supervisor, Inventory Manager, CEO and Directors

Professional Qualifications Required

Expect the following requirements and qualifications:

• Prior supervision or Inventory experience is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software

Technical / Vocational Skills Required

• Knowledge and/or Certificate in Inventory and Warehouse Management an asset
• Strong Time Management Skills 
• At least five (5) years related experience

Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for:

• Supervising and checking the inventory component of the Peachtree and Coil data base in a timely and correct manner to ensure reports are generated on time and accurately.
• Training new staff on both Peachtree and Coil Data Base.
• Regular stock checks and cycle counts, variance reports.
• Incident reports involving issue of replacement stock.
• Branch stock checks and cycle counts if needed.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages/slow moving stock.
• Ensuring all persons using Peachtree are entering data currently and all documentation is in accordance with the policies set out by the company:
• Gate Passes.
• Returns.
• Goods Received into Stock.
• TTBS/Stow/OSHA/ISO 9001 certification Programme is adhered to, fully compliant and records are up to date.
• Resolve incidents that deal with stock adjustments.
• Ensure opening balances at the start of each month are agreed upon.
• Issue variance reports with relevant deductions for missing unaccounted stock to the accounting department.
• Assist with the development of software systems that would improve the inventory management.
• Ensure that all stock is being stored safely and is secured.
• Collaborate with the warehouse, manufacturing, dispatch and maintenance personnel to ensure the business goals of the company are being met.
• Report concerns and issues in a timely manner.
• Reduction of stock loss due to waste, theft or damage, and handling.
• Receiving of stock and relevant checks.
• Develop written process and procedure manual for each major task.
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time that the manager may assign.

Warehouse Supervisor is required to do the following tasks:

Production:

• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to fabrication shop.
• Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to dispatch.
• Proper handling of material.
• Proper operation of equipment.
• Return of raw materials.
• Ensure plant is kept clean and in order.
• Training and review/construction of standard operations practices.
• Effective and efficient use of time, staff, materials, waste measurement.
• Adhere Lifetime Roofing Limited’s safety plan and STOW requirements.
• Performs any other related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
