The Trainee Technician will be trained to ensure the availability of company equipment by reducing the frequency and duration of equipment downtime. The Technician will also be trained to be responsible for the service, repair, and component replacement of company equipment.

Training Opportunity

We are inviting suitably qualified nationals of Trinidad & Tobago to apply for the opportunity to train as a Trainee Techncian  The Trainee Technician will be trained to ensure the availability of company equipment by reducing the frequency and duration of equipment downtime. The Technician will also be trained to be responsible for the service, repair, and component replacement of company equipment.

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responding to service and repair requests by undertaking diagnostic checks and troubleshooting upon related problems.
  • Undertaking multi-disciplinary repairs to all faulty service station and plant related equipment.
  • Performing calibrations on pumps, dispensers, Road Tank Wagons and other equipment as required.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective response to service requests by maintaining an inventory of equipment spares and replenishing as necessary, safeguarding Company's Vehicle, all tools and testing equipment assigned.
  • Ensuring equipment availability and reliability of Company equipment by performing preventive maintenance on all company equipment. .
  • Assists in maintenance costing and accountability by performing the optimized cos repair option on equipment.
  • Preparing daily reports on activities by documenting work assigned and scheduled and work in progress; documenting recommendations and/or solutions; preparing relevant orders to initiate repairs or replacement; maintaining records of inventory; Inputting information into computerized database; generating the relevant computer and other reports; documenting preventative maintenance effected; preparing relevant documentation to record and track replacement spares, equipment and personnel activity.
  • Maintaining a good housekeeping environment at all times.
  • Adhering to the Company's safety procedures at all times when undertaking general and specific repairs activities.

 THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST IDEALLY POSSESS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical /Electronic Engineering or
  • Technician’s Advance Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications
  • Valid Driver’s License

 OR

 Any equivalent combination of experience and qualifications.
