CASHIER

The Cashier will provide an engaging and accurate check-out experience while being efficient and engaging.

Duties

• Ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accurately calculate purchase totals, collect payments and provide correct change and receipt.
• Ensure that all checks and balances are observed according to agreed standards for collection of money in any form (cash, cheques, credit/debit card etc)
• Maintain a keen awareness of activities involved in avoiding potential fraudulent transactions 
• Balance cash till at opening and closing and accurately generate reports for all transactions.

Education & Experience

• 4 CSEC subjects at the general proficiency level, including Mathematics or other numeric subject. Agricultural Science is an asset
• At least 1 year work experience preferably in a retail environment
• HEART Trust certification in Cashiering or Data Entry is an asset
