The sanitation supervisor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and health standards at our corporate office. The incumbent will implement the company’s sanitation policies, perform daily sanitation inspection and oversee the duties of the sanitation team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

 

  • Lead the sanitation team in safe work practices including chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and Occupational Safety & Health Requirements (OSHA).
  • Prepare weekly staff assignment schedules.
  • Establish standards and procedures to guide employees work activities, will be required to lead by example.
  • Maintain records and daily logs of all cleaning activities of the sanitation team.
  • Accountable for all departmental stock and inventory control.
  • Ensure that cleaning supply room are stocked and maintained in a neat & orderly manner daily.
  • Periodically inventory supplies, place orders and distribute supplies requested to sanitation team.
  • Maintain records of supplies used.
  • Ensure that sanitation team launders uniform for production and abattoir team members and groundsmen.
  • Conduct daily inspections and evaluates cleanliness and physical condition of facilities under supervision.
  • Train sanitation workers and organize refresher training for existing staff.
  • Assist in updating the company’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) as needed.
  • Submit monthly report to the Safety of cleaning activities executed by the sanitation team.
  • Highlight recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings and replacement of cleaning equipment to the Safety Manager.
  • Perform consistent performance review of sanitation team members giving that frequent constructive feedback to improve their performance.
  • Keep up to date performance logs on all sanitation team members for human resources purposes.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by Safety Manager or his/her designee.
  • Plan schedules and coordinates cleaning projects with department heads when necessary.
  • Assist in the development of training materials to adequately trained sanitation team,

 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • An associate degree in health science, Operations Management or any other related fields.
  • Three years of experience in a similar capacity.
