 Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking to identify a suitable candidate to join our Provider Audit & Wellness Services team in the capacity of:

 Field Services Officer

 Provide services to all participating providers and government groups.

Establish, strengthen and maintain close linkage with group contact personnel at Government pay sites to ensure prompt payments and at non-pay sites to foster support through contact and educational sessions.

 Location: Kingston

*Substantial travel required.

As A Field Services Officer, you will:

  • Plan and execute seminars and workshops for providers and their front-line team members.
  • Ensure that the GEASO/ GPASO benefits and electronic cards are delivered in the agreed timeframe.
  • Establish, strengthen and maintain close linkages with group contact personnel at pay sites to ensure prompt payment and at non pay sites.
  • Visit providers in service area and ensure that claim forms are being completed accurately.
  • Enquire whether there are any issues and advise providers of relevant promotions and initiatives to foster support through contact for monthly visits.
  • Collect new applications, membership cards, beneficiary, claims and change requests.
  • Facilitate the collection of information on problems/ concerns and report these according to the urgency of the information received to ensure that prompt action is taken within the stipulated timeframes.
  • Submit weekly servicing planner and provide feedback through telephone calls and weekly reports from site visits.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least three (3) years’ working experience in the public and private health insurance industry.
  • Successful completion of the HIAA certification.
  • Certification in computer technology.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in Group Insurance Services.
  • Licensed driver
  • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle with a minimum of one year’s experience in driving.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of Group health products.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Sound knowledge of the customer relations principles.
  • Sound knowledge of Sagicor products, services and operations.
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of the policies and procedures governing the Government of Jamaica’s health insurance schemes.
