SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS MANAGER

A logistics and supply chain manager is responsible for planning and controlling the activities of a company, as well as coordinating between his/her company and other companies in order to ensure the right goods or products are delivered in the right quantities, to the right customer, at the right time, and according to the right price.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily collection and review of information from the various departments regarding Trucking needs.
  • Planning ahead to ensure the best cost, best quality on-time deliveries, and/ or collections.
  • Daily preparation of a trucking schedule of deliveries and /or collections.
  • Daily preparation of Driver Data Summary Sheet.
  • Daily coordination and supervision of truck loading.
  • Ensure accurate and timely dispatch and delivery of goods to customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection and distribution of locally purchased items.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection and distribution of imported items.
  • Coordinate with custom brokers, local logistics providers, Customs, and internal staff, to ensure the efficient offloading of imported containers.
  • Daily monitoring of trucks throughout the delivery/collection process.
  • Manage Petty Cash for trucking crew lunch assistance.
  • Daily monitoring of document trail of delivered/collected items to ensure that they are completed and are channeled to the required destination points.
  • Record and analyze trucking-related information.
  • Monthly monitoring of vehicle documents (entire fleet of Isratech vehicles) and coordination of document renewal where applicable.
  • Monthly review of diesel usage.
  • Coordinate with the police, local logistics providers, and internal staff to ensure accurate and efficient loading of containers for export.
  • Ensuring that all objectives, instructions, and directions from the General Manager & CEO are successfully achieved
  • Ensuring that materials are available at all times, especially when required, and that planning functions are effectively and efficiently managed
  • Monitoring and overseeing the maintenance and well-being of Company vehicles, machinery, and all other equipment
  • Ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide efficient and effective executive/administrative support to the General Manager.
  • Co-ordinate and/or performs administrative tasks necessary for the smooth functioning of the office.
  •  Serve as a central point of liaison with internal and external clients.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, effective and efficient record management program.

 

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

(a)  Education:

•   Bachelor’s   Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics/ Equivalent

•   Certified Supply Chain Management

•   Certified in Logistics Management

 

(b)   Experience:

•   A minimum of five (5) years of Management related experience

•   Experience in Supply Chain & Logistics
