As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing Inventory, procurement and sourcing of new products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of merchandise and managing Inventory amongst Store locations.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory management: Oversee the inventory and ensuring an adequate supply. Collaborate with relevant teams to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize stock outs and excess inventory.
- Performance tracking and reporting: Develop and maintain procurement performance, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover. Generate reports and provide regular updates, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Analyse industry and demand trends for current and new items being procured for the respective departments.
- Work with Logistics department to ensure foreign shipments are delivered or received on time and proper documents are provided.
ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- CIPS Level 3 Advance Certificate in Supply Chain Management certification or equivalent would be an asset.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a purchasing environment or related discipline.
Requirements:
Familiarity with procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and procurement software/tools
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Holder of Valid Passport and US Visa.
