Data Analyst - Business Intelligence

The Data Analyst executes on descriptive and diagnostic analytics requirements in support of specific special projects and other initiatives that are assigned.

Core Functions

• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand and define the information requirements for assigned analytics initiatives.

• Build out advanced descriptive, diagnostic analytics solutions as required to support business decisions on assigned initiatives

• Working with and alongside business analysts, identify what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources

• Work in iterative processes with relevant business personnel and validate analytics findings/insight

• Specify data collection, integration and staging requirements for assigned initiatives and collaborate with IT Data Specialists to provision data required for analytics

• Create databases and reports, develop algorithms and statistical models, and perform statistical analyses appropriate to data and reporting requirements.

•Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science or any other related discipline, such as Economics,  Operations Research or Actuarial Science.

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in business and in data or statistical analysis.
