About the role

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for project activities associated with deployment of application solution and support/ management of the applications following implementation.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to understand business processes and support functional consultants to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements and uncover areas for improvement
  • Support functional consultants and Business Analyst with in-project and post-project activities
  • Document and apply knowledge of business requirements for in-project and post-project activities
  • Ensure the comprehensive capture of business and technical requirements as key deliverable documentation to support in-project and post-project activities
  • Support the review and validation process of technical designs, configurations and training activities with documentation and when required participation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test scenarios are accurately documented and delivered to technical teams
  • Support technical consultants and delivery teams in solution installation and configuration
  • Participate in sessions with business process owners, users and functional consultants
  • Support project management team with closure of assigned action items in support of key deliverables
  • Participate in data, integration and project meetings, when required
  • Research and analyze application data, reports and documentation and provide recommendations and input for application issues.
  • Resolve application issues in adherence with key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify needs and opportunities for customers to improve application utilization.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues to make a useful contribution to Fujitsu’s knowledge base.
  • Implement planned changes to application as agreed and evaluated with the change management function.
  • Develop and streamline processes and solutions at customers that improve data flow and quality to enhance data accuracy, viability and value.


 

Key qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years in related experience in a progressive IT services environment
  • Experience in Application projects and post-project support would be considered an asset
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion will be considered an asset
