Procurement Coordinator

SUMMARY ROLE DESCRIPTION

Procurement Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, inventory control, and shipping consolidation, assist with project planning and scheduling, and coordination with General Contractors. May also be requested to assist with other job-related tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate all aspects of procurement process from initial purchasing through shipping logistics with local
    shipping brokers
  • Prepare & follow procurement schedule and ensure materials are delivered on site.
  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies along with PM/AM.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with
    terms of contracts.
  • Analyze and resolve purchasing issues/discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
  • Report KPI (Key Performance Indicator) data as requested by PM/AM to assess, analyze and track
    vendor performance.
  • Participate in cost reduction activities, observe and report price increases.
  • Research a variety of sources, documents, etc. to ensure adequacy of specification in terms of clarity,
    precision, and related criteria.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with local suppliers.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly project progress reports for construction.
REQUIREMENTS 
  • Bachelors in construction management, purchasing, logistics.
  • Previous working experience in Construction / Project Management / Procurement (min 3 years).
  • Ability to read Construction Drawings to assess order requirements.
  • high degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Projects, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Applicable knowledge of negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
  • In-dept knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.
  • Experienced with PlanSwift software would be an Asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Salary range KYD58,800 - 82,320 per annum. Benefits met and/or exceed the Labour Law. Only suitably qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Closing date for applications is 30 July 2023.
