The Senior Human Resources Officer is responsible for the management of various benefits plans such as pension administration, retirement schemes, health, and life insurance to facilitate the satisfaction and retention of a productive workforce as well as to process various separation processes.

The incumbent will be s responsible for but not limited to the following:-

  • Assist with ensuring that HR files and systems are fully compliant with the Company’s policies, procedures and the Labour Laws.
  • Assist with the maintenance of HR files with records relating to benefits administration.
  • Coordinate Staff Welfare benefits- arrangement of baskets for staff, counselling services and liaise with payroll regarding the payment of Funeral grants.
  • Execute new employee benefits enrolment applications, health claims, change of benefits administration and benefits terminations.
  • Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution/provides customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Process employee separations.
  • Liaise with Payroll regarding the addition and termination of employees.
  • Preparation of job letters (NHT/NIS contributions, Embassy, Financial Institutions etc.) and maternity letters.Process reference checks for past employees when required.
  • Liaise with external vendors regarding provision of services for services.
  • Enter payments into Workflow for processing.
  • Making local travel arrangements for staff.
  • Train all new hires on the EHRMS system
  • Maintain and handle any queries/ issues regarding use of eHRMS.
  • Create monthly vacation accruals and submit to payroll. (eHRMS)
  • Schedule and arrange COVID testing for staff and process payments
  • Assist with developing and updating HR Policies and Procedures manuals, as well as be able to provide advice and information to both management and staff on these policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the review and update of HR SOPs, forms and templates
  • Partner with the HR team to design, coordinate, execute and manage HR special projects when required.
Qualifications and Experience 
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in in Human Resources, Benefits Administration or General Administration
