Our client in the Financial Sector is seeking to hire a Business Development Officer.

Location: Port of Spain

Salary: $10,800.00 plus commission and allowances

 

Job Summary:

The Business Development Officer is responsible for building and maintaining new and existing relationships with clients through the marketing, sale of the client’s products and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individual plan to obtain and close new business sales.
  • Pursue leads in new and current markets as per the Sales Plan.
  • Originate opportunities for financial solutions via money market and capital market structures to match issuer with investor needs within risk profile.
  • Creates a plan to manage credit risk client repayments.
  • Drives sales in both Money Markets and Capital Markets.
  • Provides after sales support to clients.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares reports and provides and tracks Revenue Projections.
  • Manages the onboarding process of clients with the RM team.
  • Actively engage in team building exercises.
  • Performs any other duties in relation to the position as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Economics/Marketing
  • 3 years’ working experience as a Relationship Manager or any other related position.
  • Must have a valid driver’s permit and a reliable working vehicle.
  • Having an existing client portfolio would be an asset.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Negotiation, Sales & Marketing savvy
  • Ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Presentation skills and ability to articulate value propositions.
  • A strong team player
  • Sound decision making with a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • A strong command of the English language both oral and written.

  • Sales strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of the client’s products and services.
  • Credit fundamentals
  • Business/Finance Mathematics
