Our Client, a well regarded regional manufacturer and distributor, is looking for a strong IT professional, proficient in utilising technology for strategic advantage, to provide the road map to align multiple systems coherently for improved profitability across business lines.

The Role
The Group IT Manager will set ITC strategic direction; chart the operating model that will transform business-IT alignment and integration; ensure the delivery of systems that enable the acquisition-driven growth, while driving tools to enable better decision making across the Group. Above all, impact the way business partners and customers are serviced with timely delivery. The individual appointed will need to:
- Work with Profit Centre Heads/customers and bring a consultative approach to resolve business critical concerns.
- Ensure the adequacy of the security and data communication infrastructure to protect and support Group needs as growth accelerates.
- Define standards, and strengthen policies and procedures for architecture, security, purchasing and service provision.
- Instil, strengthen and maintain a collaborative team culture of continuous improvement and agility.
Preferred Profile
- BSc Computer Science with an MBA; 12 years at the management level, including 8 in senior strategic IT leadership, in a large complex business in FMCG, Retail or Manufacturing.
- PMP certified; a record of leading the successful delivery of major projects and integral involvement in managing complex IT infrastructures.
- Demonstrated experience with platform services; SQL Server; warehouse management systems; fleet tracking,
- Knowledge of best practices in eCommerce, current tools and alternative solutions in improving Customer Experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to collaborate across organizations.
- The role demands a calibre of leadership that can provide a vision, inspire trust, mobilize the team to exhibit strong competitiveness, be more customer-focused and nimble.
