The People and Culture Specialist will coordinate and implement projects, programs and activities that transform the organizational culture to support the new strategic objectives of the company while creating a customer-centric employee experience.

Job Summary

The People and Culture Specialist will coordinate and implement projects, programs and activities that transform the organizational culture to support the new strategic objectives of the company while creating a customer-centric employee experience.

 

This includes coordination in the following key areas: Communication, Employee Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning and Career Development.


 

   Major Responsibilities

Communication and Engagement

  • Coordinates and execute the marketing plan to promote CBL’s Employee Value Propositions, Employee Journey Maps and Engagement activities
  • Conceptualizes visuals and develops designs using appropriate tools and mediums
  • Coordinates and implements the organization’s internal communications plan and ensures alignment with the business communications strategy
  • Partners with the HR leadership team to update employees on business changes, product launches, and process improvements
  • Coordinates timely organization announcements of all employee status changes (promotions, acting assignments, and new employees)
  • Coordinates internal engagement efforts through timely, creative and robust communications and executions
  • Coordinates all town hall communications to staff: including dates, feedback to staff, Q&As, etc
  • Coordinates and implements social media strategies as well as develop and maintain CBL’s digital presence – CBL website, Instagram, Facebook, etc. presence
  • Collaborate with HR Ops, Learning & Development and Recruitment & Talent to ensure all are providing a consistent, positive candidate and employee experience.
  • Coordinates and implements the comms plan for the annual OHI/Temperature Checks process to ensure maximum participation and subsequent communication of results to all team members across the business
  • Coordinates and execute staff activities such as staff meetings, management retreats, employee launches, and other employee events in a hybrid environment
  • Collaborates to execute employee engagement activities associated with (sports, social club activities, health, and wellness)
  • Collaborates with the wider People & Culture team to manage the execution of the companywide rewards programme, ensuring timely selections and awards.
  • Constantly refresh the employee engagement schedule of activities for retention and re-engagement
  • Collaborates with the wider HR team in the execution of CBL’s rewards and recognition programme ensuring timely selections and award
  • Counsels employees on career development, retraining, and continuing education; coordinates talent development programs, career pathways, and  career counseling

Learning and Development:

  • Aids in the design of customized training curricula and training materials for management/employee development, organizational development, and career/workforce development programs
  • Participates in content updates to CBL learners across public and internal websites to ensure Talent Development offerings are current and relevant
  • Coordinates, monitors, evaluates, and recommends external professional development programs, training materials, and media products, as required

Talent Acquisition:

  • Collaborates with the wider HR and Communications team to enhance and execute  onboarding strategies to attract the best talent and deliver the best candidate experience
  • Assists with the planning and execution of career fairs and like events to increase brand awareness
  • Supports the end-to-end recruitment process at Celebration Brands

Other:

  • Adheres to CBL’s policies and procedures, inclusive of but not limited to the HR policies & procedures, policy on Health and Safety, Quality and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure the department achieves its Opex budgeted targets
    • Participate as a resource to support policy, program and procedure development as well as legal and compliance issues and other HR projects as required
    • Conducts any other duty in keeping with the nature and function of this job

 Qualification

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Development, Communication, Marketing, Psychology or a related field
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Marketing, Communication or Human Resources
  • Experience in an FMCG, sales/distribution/customer  focused environment is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Yammer
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop
  • Working Knowledge of local labour laws


 

 

Working Conditions

[X] This position will be exposed to a Distribution Center & Warehouse environment, at an occasional frequency

[X] Frequent to moderate walking short/long distances within the Distribution Center, Office and Warehouse areas

[X] Occasional travelling requirements, CBL Head Office and Distribution Centers across the island when necessary

[X] Exposure to normal office working environment

[X] Occasional exposure to forklifts & delivery trucks within the Warehouse area
