S.M. Jaleel & Company Limited, a leading manufacturer and distributor of non-alcoholic beverages, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to fill the vacant position of Assistant Manager - Procurement at its Head Office, Otaheite, South Oropouche.
The Assistant Manager - Procurement will be assist the Procurement Manager in the performance of his duties. The department is responsible for the procurement of goods and services required as inputs to the company’s manufacturing process to minimize interruptions to the production by extension the supply chain.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Establish and enhance supplier relationships to reduce costs and mitigate risks in the Supply Chain
- Develop annual procurement plans, identify the supply risks and take/recommend mitigative actions
- Lead all tender management activities, with the VP-Supply Chain, from issuing tender documents, to the awarding of contracts to the successful bidders
- Approve and monitor the administration of contracts
- Manage the internal operations of the Procurement Department and act as the main subject matter expert (SME) for Supply Chain Management
- Oversee the Claims Management and the approval payment process for incoming shipments
- Perform any other related duties as outlined by line manager.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain (e.g CIPS Level 5 Advance Diploma), Business Management, Finance/Accounting or Economics
- At least three (3) years relevant demonstrable work experience in procurement, including at a leadership level
- 3 years’ Experience in FMCG Sector
