Our Client, Edward B. Beharry & Company Limited, is seeking to fill the position of Chief Marketing Officer. This position is based in Georgetown, Guyana.

JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for developing and implementing new marketing strategies for EBB’s lines of food products and leading a committed and enthusiastic marketing team. He/She will oversee all marketing operations of the company, develop the marketing strategy and vision, and direct all marketing efforts towards great success.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set marketing goals and objectives for EBB’s lines of food products
  • Plan, implement and manage marketing strategies
  • Contribute to the overall growth of the company
  • Review and manage content marketing strategy 
  • Determine KPIs for the marketing department, and track KPI’s on a regular basis
  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget
  • Work collaboratively with sales, product development and customer service teams
  • Create, present to the Board, and implement the annual marketing plan and strategy
  • Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions
  • Stay up to date with the latest marketing technology and best practices
  • Attend trade fairs and marketing conferences
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding and communications) and ensure that they project the Company’s objectives
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A post graduate degree in Business Administration or Marketing
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in corporate sales and marketing within a large organization, preferably in the food industry
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g., social media) and non-digital (e.g., press) channels
  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
