The Mustique Company is seeking to fill the position of Network Administrator.

(St. Vincent and the Grenadines)

 

Job Summary 

The Network Administrator will be responsible for management and maintenance of the company’s LAN/WAN/VOIP/CCTV infrastructure and computer systems. It will include the participation in and oversight of the daily upkeep and administration of the company’s network infrastructure, computer systems and associated components.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Implement and maintain all network, security, and computer systems to meet the organization’s current and future requirements
  • Management, maintenance, and configuration of virtual infrastructure.
  • IP Camera configuration and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s high availability infrastructure
  • Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve network and system problems, performance issues, and computer resource allocation
  • Provide technical support to end-users
  • Maintain as necessary, project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications
  • Research, identify, and evaluate new products and services within the IT field
  • Provide technical assistance and mentoring to technical team members to increase skill sets and understanding of data, systems, and architectural design
  • Provision corporate mobile devices and other assets in compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
  • Develop and provide reports on network performance and utilization to management
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the current industry trends, emergent technologies, threats, operating systems, and major applications
  • Responsible for development and documentation of company policies and procedures as related to network, system, and device use and security
  • Recommend and implement backup systems and on-site and off-site backup-tape rotation cycles and perform regularly scheduled backups of files and security profiles on supported systems in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Perform work related to security and disaster recovery needs such as system backup and/or restoration, including operational support at a BCP or recovery site for all supported systems.

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Candidates must be customer and team oriented
  • Experience with backup and recovery technologies
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery Design and Implementation
  • Expert level experience with routers, switches, firewalls, Internet VPN’s, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Strong experience with cloud and network hybrid environments
  • Sound knowledge in networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, QoS, VoIP, VPN, Trunking, Spanning tree and Layer 3 switching
  • Expert level experience with configuring and maintaining Windows servers and domains
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Dynamics, Property Management systems, CRM, and Point of Sales will be an asset
