The incumbent will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a good rapport with clients and service providers and ensuring that their business transactions and information are handled with the strictest confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Recording all day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Daily Cash Flow Reports
  • Track debits and maintain and monitor financial records.
  • Update the department’s operating procedures
  • Daily collections review and follow-up
  • Other related duty as assigned
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed reports on unaudited monthly management accounts for the company and highlight variances with supporting schedules and explanations.
  • Monitor and enter Vendor machine transactions
  • Daily Timesheets review, confirm against Sales Order entries and log for bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage recurring payments log
  • Prepare accurate entries for Statutory tax returns as submitted by the accountant
  • Ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory related obligations are performed and met in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and confirm of Purchase Orders against Delivery Notes/Warranties and Vendor Bills and enter/name/attach all Vendor Bills
  • Monitor and review of inventory adjustments/credit memos/COGS – Customers/Vendors related.
  • Monitor the activities and performance of accounts receivable and payable function so as to ensure timely collection of receivables and payment to suppliers
  • Asset Management - Conduct an annual fixed asset count to ensure accuracy of the fixed asset register.
  • Updating the department's operating procedures 
  • Daily collections, review and follow-up
  • Other related duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional qualification e.g. ACCA Level II and above
  • Five (5) years’ accounting experience with at least two (2) years’ work experience in a supervisory position
  • Experience with accounting software such as Oracle and/or Netsuite/NextService
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office 365
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (spreadsheets)
  • Experience with Account payable and receivable principles
