To manage the delivery of services to the organization in the areas of Information Technology Operations, Logistics and Facilities Management.

PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited is looking for a dynamic individual to manage the delivery of services to the organization in the areas of Information Technology Operations, Logistics and Facilities Management. This position ensures that all systems, processes and deliverables are aligned to the Company’s strategies and works to improve operational efficiencies thereby reducing company operational cost. A key deliverable for this role would be the management of major capital expenditure projects such as construction and renovations at the various locations.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

IT OPERATIONS:

  • Improve operational efficiencies thereby reducing the company operational cost.
  • Execute strategies and implement processes and systems to improve operational effectiveness
  • Improve expanding processes and systems to all territories
  • Researches and recommends relevant IT Solutions in line with overall understanding of the current and future company operations; Conducts solutions evaluations with
  • Reduce the expense base of the Company and find ways to continuously improve efficiency so that each additional dollar in terms of profitability is realized at a lower ‘cost’ than the previous dollar (Continuous Improvement).
  • Improve the Operating Expense Ratio of the Territory by the minimum (KPI) percentage when compared to prior year actual  
  • Oversees Business Continuity planning and execution
  • Develops and manages data retention and backup strategies and processes
  • Liaises with the product development team to ensure integration of new products with provisioning and billing
  • Liaises with marketing to ensure that the web infrastructure and services are updated as required and remain available

 

LOGISTICS

  • Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors in the industry
  • Review contract specifications on behalf of the company
  • Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
  • Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times

 

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage facilities planning and space allocation
  • Plan building maintenance and operational programs
  • Manage all vendor contracts
  • Ensure the efficiency of all building systems
  • Preparing operating reports and budgets
  • Ensure all processes and compliance programs are met
  • Coordinate with department heads and building contractors
  • Manage maintenance of grounds
  • Ensure all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
  • Negotiate bids and contracts for third party workers
  • Coordinate building security and maintenance services
  • Coordinate all maintenance issues and schedules
  • Prepare and file reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, security services etc.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • MSc. Information Communication Technology or MBA specialised in Finance/ Management/ Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Degree in Information Systems and Management or equivalent
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ progressive experience in the management of the stated operational requirements with five (5) years’ experience in a managerial position
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent planning, organising and time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate, delegate, motivate and mentor
