ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Environmental Technician (ET) is the Environmental Department’s monitoring and reporting agent. This is an administrative and field position that requires physical ability and excellent interpersonal skills. The Environmental Technician (ET) will function as a Nature tour guide, data collector and communications arm of the Environmental Department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Life Sciences or similar field.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) and report writing experience is required.
  • Experience conducting Environmental inspections and reports is required
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills are required
  • Excellent Customer Service skills required
  • Effective organization and time management skills required
  • Tour guiding and OSHA certification are preferred.

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Involved in the collection and dissemination of data related to the Club’s Environmental Management System (EMS) via communication with the various departments and villas.

 

  • Be instrumental in the regular updates and dissemination of The Club’s Environmental management system documentation including: operating manuals; records keeping; standard operating procedures and training manuals.

 

  • Assist in the setup and documentation preparations for training and communications as well as create follow up reports of these sessions.

 

  • Assist in tailgating and walkthrough sessions with all departments as well as creating reports and checklists for operational guidelines.
