ACCOUNTING CLERK
General Accounting Clerk
Dual reporting to the Senior Accountant and the Staff Accountant, core responsibilities are as follows:
1) Post transactions for Jamaica Customs Agency
2) Relief for cheque preparation
3) Maintain journal voucher files
4) Prepare Bank Reconciliation (TW)
5) Maintenance of cheque payment files
6) General assistance to other team members
7) Prepare fortnightly and contract payrolls
8) Maintain organized and proper accounting records
9) Reimburse petty cash for all locations
10) Update Accounting Software with Petty cash transactions
11) Prepare Accounting schedules upon request
12) Conduct duties of team members, as directed, during periods of absence and otherwise.
13) Any other duties, related to job functions, that may be assigned
14) Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are maintained at all times.
15) Verify POS receipts for Accounts Receivables
