Requirements

 

  • University degree in Hotel Management or related discipline/Bachelor of Business Administration.
  • Management skills (planning, organization, direction, and control).
  • Advanced Excel Skills ( Advanced Formulas,  Data, Tables and Formatting).
  • Knowledgeable in AAA and LHW Standards
  • Knowledgeable in Navision Process. 
  • Second language (Spanish) is mandatory
  • Third language is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in Earth Check Cerification and process.
  • Knowledgeable in Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures.
  • 3 years in hotels of the same category and size

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the General Manager in his day to day operations.
  • Advice and assist with the interpretation and consistent application of the The Excellence Collection Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Assigns duties to Head of Department´s and monitor the performance.
  • Monitor the Guest feedback on Trip advisor, Google +, Tour Operators, and I-Check´s surveys.
  • Monitor the development of the SASH Program (Hygiene).
  • Monitor and develop Strategies regarding the information of ReviewPro.
  • Participates actively in the different programs established in the hotel
  • Assists General Manager during Morning meetings or conducts the morning/evening HOD meetings (daily and weekly) in the absence of General Manager.
  • Adheres to all company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, Standar Operation Procedure’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Ensures the objectives and goals of The Excellence Collection work together to achieve brand positioning and success.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections.
  • Ensures property, grounds, physical plant and work areas maintained to standard.
  • Builds strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff, HOD's and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event need.
  • Monitor maintenance progress and Furniture, Furnishings, and Equipment conditions and provide status report to General Manager.
  • Audits stock on all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.
  • Performs sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas according to the AAA Standard.
  • Be a role model within the hotel and exhibit and practice professional leadership skills.
  • Ensures effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist the GM in in all aspects of business planning.
  • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • All Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.
  • Ensures that there is delivery of our environmental commitments, overseeing the health, safety and security of our leaders and colleague
  • Maintain continuous contact with general management and overseas corporate office to inform about issues related to operation within each division.
  • Fulfill all the quality standards in service or appropriate to the department.
  • Achieve the requirements, functions, and responsibilities of the position
  • Achieve the functions and responsibilities of his position in relation to the environmental and Social sustainability program.
  • Participates in meetings of operations and others in which the department are involved.
  • Perform activities that are entrusted by his immediate director and corporate figure, in accordance with the applicable legal and administrative legislation.
