The position is responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The position is responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.

The position work on a 24/7 shift roster.

 

KEY DUTIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on processes and packaging equipment, using relevant procedures.
  • Troubleshoots abnormal process and plant conditions.
  • Identifies, rectifies, or assists in rectifying problems to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Maintains equipment with the mindset of waste minimization and cost control.
  • Actively participates in efforts related to improvement and optimization of Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
  • Performs breakdown analysis
  • Oversees or performs general housekeeping
  • Upgrades production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology
  • Directs activities of outside contractors working on assigned line
  • Changes lines for package changeovers
  • Enforces GMP, safety, and audit standards
  • Works independently under limited supervision
  • Completes documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Both EET and MET Diplomas
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
  • Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
  • Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
  • Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns).
  • Experience with reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics).
