The successful candidate will be responsible for the collections, reconciliation and tracking of outstanding invoices for the company whilst ensuring the accuracy and timely updating of customer records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for the collections, reconciliation and tracking of outstanding invoices for the company whilst ensuring the accuracy and timely updating of customer records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Proactively contacts customers for payments before the due date.
  • Reconciles complex accounts, analyses data, identifies errors and rectifies any issues expeditiously.
  • Establishes and maintains good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels, which may include visits to customers independently or in conjunction with Sales Representatives.
  • Performs credit checks for all potential customers and creates accounts using accounting software; provides information to companies requesting credit references for our customers.
  • Becomes familiar with the accounting processes and the requirements of each key account to ensure that payments are expedited and are in line with weekly cash projections.
  • Investigates all invoices/credit notes queries received and works with the CSR Department/Warehouse and Customers to ensure that the reviews are completed and updated on the customer accounts within the required timeframe.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Finance, Accounting from an accredited academic institution Or Level 1 ACCA.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts receivables/collections environment (FMCG).

 Must possess:

  • Competence in Microsoft Office and accounting software (Syspro).
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment with little supervision.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, negotiation skills and reputation for unquestionable integrity and professional conduct.
