Software Developer

We are looking for a developer with Laravel experience to complement our (very) small team.

Responsibilities

Assisting with gathering, documentation and analysis of system requirements.

Design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of application systems based on documented requirements.

Monitor deployments and respond appropriately.

Some initial projects will include working with front-end developers on a web app migration from legacy PHP to Vue.JS and back-end code for a new administration portal using Vue.JS.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

2+ years using MVC frameworks (e.g. Laravel).

2+ years of experience with developing and implementing web applications.

Experience creating and modifying RESTful APIs (specifically JSON).

Experience with Git version control.

General understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS and MySQL.

Understanding of MVC and OOP principles.

Demonstrable ability to develop solutions using the Laravel Framework i.e. provide an example.

Experience with testing frameworks and a good understanding of test-driven development concepts and supporting tools.

Passion for exploring new technology and proactively identifying new opportunities and areas for improvement.

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
