This position is responsible for informing potential and existing customers of company promotions, products and services. Assists in identifying new sales opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and the execution of related campaigns

REPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  1. Analyze customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services and develop action plan to correct or improve.
  2. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  3. Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning.
  4. Develop and sustain solid relationships with members.
  5. Responsible for developing sales plan for assigned branch.
  6. Sells Pension Products, once certified to do so by the Financial Services Commission.
  7. Contributes to the development of marketing and promotional programmes for specific products and services of the institutiion; this include assisting with seminars and meetings.
  8. Assists in organizing the dissemination of information on the institution through articles, pamphlets and the media.
  9. Develops and maintains group accounts e.g., schools, companies, and liaison officers.
  10. Maintains on-going relationship with key private sector organizations.
  11. Reports monthly to the Branch Manager and Sales Manager of activities outcome and value of business.
  12. Handles members’ queries/complaints.
  13. Assists where and when required in arranging and executing monthly meetings for new members.
  14. Prepares progress reports on special projects as requested.
  15. Adherence to Proceeds of Crime Act regulations.
  16. Any other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

PERFORAMNCE CRITERIA:

This job is satisfactorily performed when:

n  Monthly sales targets are achieved for all targets set – 100%

n  All reports are submitted with 0 errors and grammatically correct – 100%

n  All reports are submitted as and when required 100%

n  Development of new group accounts meets set target 100%

n  Filing and any assigned databases are current 100%

n  Assigned Member accounts are current and compliant 100%

n  Compliance with HR & L Policy 100%

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

-          BSc Marketing or equivalent degree in Business Administration

-          Two (2) years’ experience in sales, marketing or public relations.

-          Driver’s License

-          Reliable Motor vehicle

-          Clean Police Record

-          Demonstrated success in promoting, selling/delivering new products and services

 

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

-          Sound knowledge of sales strategies and industry regulations.

-          Sound knowledge of the credit union market in Jamaica

-          Sound Knowledge of the proceeds of crime act & employee responsibility

-          Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service.

-          Working knowledge of standard office practices and procedures

-          Proven sales skills
