Our client is seeking to hire a Compounder. The job is 40 hour work week starting from 7:30am to 3pm. Salary is $5800.00 monthly.

The job is 40 hour work week starting from 7:30am to 3pm.
Salary is $5800.00 monthly.

The suitable candidate will be required to lift 5Kg pails of raw materials as well as moving of 55 gal drums

Job Duties

  1. Test the hardness of water first thing in the morning and confirm that the water matches the softened water standard. If it does not, draw to QA officer and Maintenance Technician attention for redress.
  2. Ensure that the UV lamp which removes microorganisms is in good working order and functioning. If it is not, draw to the attention of the QA officer and the Maintenance Technician for redress.
  3. Undertake the blending of chemical products in strict accordance with official company formulary manufacturing procedures and strict adherence to company HSE and Quality Control requirements.
  4. Pay particular attention to accuracy of all measurements and specified manufacturing procedures. Do not vary from standard formula without approval from Operations Manager or approved designate.
  5. Ensure that raw materials required on batch card for day’s production are secured and liaise with QA and Management to optimize scheduling of production.
  6. Liaise with production, and raw materials supply to ensure that effective production is not impeded by shortage of blended product. Please note this may on occasion require work outside of the normal working week and times.
  7. Ensure that balance of raw materials are stored after use in their appropriate location for easy retrieval on the following occasion. Never leave raw materials in compounding area or not in their assigned storage location.
  8. Ensure that the Raw material bin cards accurately reflect materials used in compounding immediately upon usage.
  9. Notify Purchasing Department of low or no levels of inventory, which require reordering to avoid out of stock.
  10. Identify and immediately report upon any perceived inaccuracies in manufacturing instructions/formula and any changes required form documented instructions. Note any such change must be approved by the Quality Assurance Officer prior to implementation.
  11. Identify and immediately report upon any perceived issues with manufacturing equipment.
  12. Operate at all times in a safe and effective manner in keeping with company policies and guidelines.
  13. Ensure with Purchasing Department that accurate levels of inventory are recorded on the Kardex system.
  14. Assist in the performance of stock takes as required by the Purchasing Officer or Management.
  15. Deliver WIP to production or WIP storage area once produced and released by Quality Control. Never leave WIP in compounding area once it has been manufactured or unless withheld by Management. Never leave wip or raw materials uncovered or improperly stored. Ensure that WIP stock is well labelled with product description, batch number and date of manufacture for ease of retrieval and tracing.
  16. Ensure proper housekeeping of compounding area. That is, keep neat, clean, safe and tidy at all times.
  17. Advise management in writing of any items required that would assist compounding and permit the job to be done more effectively.
  18. Any other duties which may be asked of you by Management from time to time.
