JOB SUMMARY

The primary role of the Merchandising Representative is to support the Sales Team by ensuring stock delivered to various customer locations are displayed and merchandised to drive sales. This entails ensuring all stock standards are maintained and retail outlets are visited regularly to ensure products are properly placed and visible to customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for merchandising all core distribution and new items according to direction received
• Merchandise location and display as directed
• Follow standard operating procedures that outline route schedules, merchandising standards and merchandise shelves with product
• Prepare weekly Merchandiser report
• Follow Merchandising Standards when executing activities within the daily strategy
• Provide timely communication regarding any business challenges
• Identify and communicate all selling opportunities and potential issues
• Act as relief for Sales Representatives on leave
• Report stock outs to Sales Representatives and follow up on orders
• Ensure the shelves reflect the correct retail pricing
• Support the promotion of the Company’s brands through continuous updating of product knowledge
• Develop proper relations with store key decision makers to maximise merchandising results
• Interface with customers, consumers and retailers 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A minimum of three (3) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English
• Must have basic computer skills
• 3-4 years’ work experience preferred
• Prior experience in a similar environment would be an asset
• Ability to frequently stand and lift the company’s SKU’s with or without an accommodation.
• Must be able to produce weekly reports
• Excellent communication skills
• Good working vehicle required
