Inventory Checker (VEMCO)

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the physical inventory process and ensuring resolution of discrepancies with the Company's inventory records

Job Responsibilities: 

• Physically verifies stock allocated to the Van Sales Down Trade route daily to ensure timely and accurate dispatching.
• Conducts spot checks on inventory being dispatched at all locations, including third party locations, to ensure accuracy of physical inventory leaving the Warehouses and to mitigate against occurrences of fraud.
• Identifies damaged, expired or otherwise unusable inventory and provides this information to the Inventory Control Lead for inclusion in computation of the provision for obsolete stock.
• Prepares stock count sheets ahead of stock checks, in accordance with Company and Audit requirements.
• Supports the Inventory Auditors in the investigation efforts, of variances at every stock check including root causes and corrective actions for future prevention. 

Position Requirements: 

• Minimum of five (5) (CXC) passes, including Mathematics and English Language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in working with an ERP Software to related to standard cost, inventory transactions and the General Ledger.
• Experience in a Food Manufacturing and or Distribution industry will be an asset.
