Seasonal Cooks & Janitors

GCG Group (Barbados) Ltd., a subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises Limited (GEL), is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries worldwide. We are seeking to recruit passionate, skilled and highly motivated individuals to join the team in the roles of Seasonal Cook and Janitor.

Seasonal Cooks

Key duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing a consistently high quality and an extensive variety of hot and cold meals, pastry products, baked goods and desserts.
• Preparing and assembling all food in the appropriate quantities and ensuring that the food is packaged according to the required standards.
• Preparing fruit, vegetables and other food items to the highest standards and on time.
• Ensuring that workstations and all equipment used are properly cleaned, sanitized and maintained.

 Academic Requirements & Experience:

• At least four CXCs or Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics, Food & Nutrition and English Language.
• At least three year’s experience in a similar position will be an asset
• Proven ability in the preparation of vegetables, hot and cold meals, baked goods and specialties.
• Good written communication skills and demonstrated creativity.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety rules and HACCP would be an asset.

 Seasonal Janitors

Key duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all kitchen equipment and the facility are effectively cleaned as specified by the cleaning schedules.
• Ensuring that airline and canteen equipment is cleaned and stored in a timely manner.
• Cleaning, rinsing and sanitizing utensils and equipment and ensure proper dishwashing methods.           

 Academic Requirements & Experience:

• Four CXC or Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English Language
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of HACCP would be an asset.

The contract will be for a period of three (3) months.
