Quantity SURVEYOR

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Quantity Surveyor for our road and housing projects.

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cost of the projects to ensure that all projects are completed within projected budgets.

Responsibilities & duties include but are not limited to:

• Review design plans and prepare quantity requirements
• Conduct site surveys to measure and value work done on all projects
• Track changes to designs and construction works and adjust budget projections
• Price and forecast the cost of materials required for projects
• Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, and risk assessments
• Identify potential financial or construction risk
• Perform mathematical calculations to determine and confirm measurements
• Utilize software to calculate, record and track inventory and estimates
• Provide technical support as it relates to Bill of Quantities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
• At least five (5) years of general construction estimating and financial experience
• Knowledge of Construction Laws and Regulations
• Knowledge of construction standard forms of contracts
• Strong estimating and financial analysis skills
• Highly responsive with strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work on weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-moving and culturally diverse environment
• Must reside in Kingston & St. Andrew or St. Catherine regions.
