EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
University degree in Computer Science OR Information Technology (or equivalent) with two (2) years industry experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL will be an asset.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years in an Information Technology environment with demonstrated experience with report writers such as SQL Report Services and Crystal Reports.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL
Possess high communication skills (verbal and written).
Possess excellent organisation skills.
Technical knowledge in software development, RDBMS, reporting systems.
Knowledge of business issues and processes, as well as IT resources and enabling technologies.
Knowledge and understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design, as well as Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
Knowledge and understanding of how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The postholder may be required to work irregular hours in accordance with the needs of the role from time to time.
The postholder may have access to personal and/or confidential information which must not be disclosed to any other persons unless in the performance of their duties.
FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecture & Design: Interviewing and gathering user requirements/information to translate into detailed project plans that meet budgets and deadlines.
Team Management: Work with team members to effectively manage all aspects including technical, creative, and production as well as external suppliers and contractors.
Project Management: Interface with users to scope projects and direct the development cycle from inception to completion.
Programming/Development: Work with programmers and Third Party Solution Providers through designing, coding, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting user initiatives.
Administration: Infrastructure development that will enhance the scalability of the business’ best practices ensuring consistency and stability whilst developing and maintaining documentation to support same.
Assessment: Conduct needs assessments with users to identify business and marketing requirements to translate into a project plans.
Business Development: Look for business opportunities to streamline processes with automated solutions, both internally and externally.
Training: Assist and/or provide training in the Company’s software systems.
Incorporate the requirements of the Company’s Quality Standards in all Information Technology activities.
Assist, where needed, in developing, implementing and managing solutions for the Company’s related parties.
OTHER
Any such activities that may become necessary from time to time for the safe and continued operations of the Company.
