Job Title:                     Concrete Plant Manager

 Reports to:                   President, Vice President 

Work closely with:       Quality Control Manager, General Staff 

Job Summary

The Concrete Plant Manager has management and budgetary responsibilities for all operations at the plant level. The Manager will manage all human and technical resources to meet company financial objectives. 

Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Responsible for all aspects of plant safety.
  2. Direct activities by specifying, requesting, and integrating technological, process, and human resources to meet output objectives while maximizing gross margin.
  3. Ensures regulatory and environmental compliance.
  4. Enforces the wearing of appropriate safety equipment in the plant and while on jobsite at all times.
  5. Interacts with other departments to stay current on business requirements; plan and coordinate activities to support business requirements and financial objectives.
  6. Development and management of intellectual capital through training and coaching.
  7. Serve on special-named projects or teams as requested and needed based on expertise.
  8. Implement and maintain inventory controls.
  9. Supervise the maintenance of property and equipment. Responsible for overall housekeeping including the plant, batch office, and driver and equipment appearance.
  10. Coordinates monthly plant and truck inspections.
  11. Responsible for the daily monitoring and validation of employee time records.
  12. Reviews, daily, a pre-shift inspection checklist to ensure equipment is functioning properly. 
  13. Utilize the resources efficiently to achieve maximum production andprofitability.
  14. Create new industrial relationships in the local market and generate sales.
  15. Responsible for production and operations.
  16. Maintain and evaluate the plant and equipmentmaintenance schedule.
  17. Coordinate with consultants and contractors.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  1. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  2. Detail oriented with ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced organization.
  3. Highly self- motivated with the ability to solve problems and follow written, verbal or other instructions with several variables.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of budgeting, planning, and execution of operations targets and financial objectives.
  5. Ability to formulate decisions, makes and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to provide clear detailed reports.
  8. Team player.

Qualifications/ Minimum Experience and Training

Education

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Experience

Seven years manufacturing experience at least four must be at a supervisory level
