Janitor

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment across all areas of our company premises.

 This role plays a vital part in presenting a professional image to employees, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain general hygiene standards.

• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with waste management protocols.

• Maintain cleanliness in shared areas such as break rooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and hallways.

• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and spills.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Monitor inventory levels of janitorial supplies and notify supervisor of replenishment needs.

• Assist with event setups and breakdowns when required.

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is an asset.

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

• Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.
