We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Facilities Assistant with basic handyman skills to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning office environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and can handle both cleaning duties and minor maintenance tasks.
Sweep and mop tiled and hard surface floors.
Vacuum carpets and rugs in offices and common areas.
Clean and sanitize glass doors, windows, and partitions.
Dust office furniture, equipment, wall fixtures, and décor.
Empty and sanitize garbage bins and waste containers.
Remove litter and debris from the car park and surrounding areas.
Clean and maintain lunchroom and shared kitchen areas.
Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, and tiled surfaces.
Clean mirrors, doors, and bathroom partitions.
Disinfect faucets, flush handles, and other high-touch areas.
Sweep and mop floors using disinfectant.
Empty trash bins and sanitary disposal units.
Refill soap, tissue, and paper towel dispensers.
Clean ventilation fans and louvers.
Carry out minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose fixtures, and small furniture repairs.
Conduct routine checks of facilities and report major issues to the supervisor.
Assist with general upkeep to ensure the building remains safe and presentable.
Previous janitorial or cleaning experience (an asset).
Basic handyman or maintenance experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper use of equipment.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work independently and follow instructions.
Punctual, honest, reliable, and respectful.
Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as required.
Mainly indoor work with some outdoor duties.
Requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
Use of protective gear and cleaning supplies is mandatory.
